1º MUNDIAL DE JUNIORES (< 20 ANOS)


Estão abertas as inscrições para o 1º Torneio Mundial de Juniores da ICCF.


A prova destina-se a jogadores nascidos depois de 30 de Junho de 1988 e será disputada através do ICCF Webserver. Conta com uma fase preliminar que apura para uma Final.

De realçar que esta competição distribuirá prémios em dinheiro pelos primeiros classificados.

As inscrições junto da CNXC (que deverão ser dirigidas a Pedro Soberano jpsoberano@netcabo.pt) terminam a 15 de Junho e têm o preço de 15€ por série.

O regulamento da prova é o seguinte:


ICCF 1st JUNIOR WORLD CUP


ICCF announces the 1st World Junior Cup intended to promote correspondence chess in young players.
It will be played on the ICCF webserver in two stages: Preliminary and Final.
The top four players in the Final will receive money prizes.


Who is eligible to play?
Anyone born after June 30th, 1988 can play regardless of ICCF membership status.


How to register and when?
Players may register immediately via their National Federation or by using the online Direct Entry method here.
Registration closes at midnight GMT on June 20, 2008.


What are the tournament conditions?
The tournament will be played on the ICCF Webserver with the time control of 10/30 (30 days of reflection time for every 10 moves). There will be live display of the games from move 1. The winners of each preliminary group will qualify to the final. Some best second places may also qualify depending on the number of entries.


What are the prizes?
The total prize fund is 1000 CHF which will be distributed as follows:
1st place: 500 CHF
2nd place: 250 CHF
3rd place: 150 CHF

4th place: 100 CHF


Who is the tournament organizer?
Gino Figlio (PER) is the TO, representing the World Tournaments Director, Frank Geider (FRA).

When does the tournament start?
The Preliminary stage will start on July 1st, 2008. The final will start immediately after all qualifiers all determined.


What are the entry fees?
They vary depending on the method used to register. National Federations determine their own fees.
The online Direct Entry fee is presented during the registration process.
